I finally plucked up the courage to make the call to the dentist. I've also been gathering information via this forum and its members/dentists, and I have a slightly more optimistic view on the whole dental experience I am hoping to undertake. The next big step is getting my appointment confirmed and then actually going. I half know what to expect from my consultation and that makes me feel more at ease about the whole thing too. In a weird sort of way I am looking forward to it, perhaps because I know the ultimate happiness it will bring me being able to have my perfect smile.

I'll keep updating this with my journey. If nothing else it will help keep me accountable for my actions!
