2 new crowns, dont match each other
Hello please help!
I have just had 2 porcelain crowns fitted (was in accident where my previous venners were damaged - I loved my veneers before the accident).
I went to the dentist who did my veneers 5 years ago. I wanted the teeth if need of crowns to be restored to look like the shape/size of my previous veneers.
I am absolutely distraught because I have come home and now I've been able to look properly, I see that these two crowns (my central front teeth) are different lengths and shapes and the difference is noticeable. It looks awful. The colour is a perfect match but apart from this they look awful. One seems to be ill-fitting and is sitting more prominent to the other teeth around it.
I was desparately hoping I could get my teeth back to how they were but now I feel even worse. The tempraries were symmetrical and looked much better than this. I might add I have paid 1000 per tooth, all the savings I have. What can I do?
The dentist cant see me til middle of next week. On the phone the dental nurse siad he will just shave down the longer one so the lengths match. The thing is, the longer one looks to be the right length in my mouth. Can this shorter one be changed for a new crown?
What can I do, do I just need to live with this? Just feel like crying.
Thank you
