Default 2 new crowns, dont match each other

Hello please help!
I have just had 2 porcelain crowns fitted (was in accident where my previous venners were damaged - I loved my veneers before the accident).
I went to the dentist who did my veneers 5 years ago. I wanted the teeth if need of crowns to be restored to look like the shape/size of my previous veneers.

I am absolutely distraught because I have come home and now I've been able to look properly, I see that these two crowns (my central front teeth) are different lengths and shapes and the difference is noticeable. It looks awful. The colour is a perfect match but apart from this they look awful. One seems to be ill-fitting and is sitting more prominent to the other teeth around it.
I was desparately hoping I could get my teeth back to how they were but now I feel even worse. The tempraries were symmetrical and looked much better than this. I might add I have paid 1000 per tooth, all the savings I have. What can I do?
The dentist cant see me til middle of next week. On the phone the dental nurse siad he will just shave down the longer one so the lengths match. The thing is, the longer one looks to be the right length in my mouth. Can this shorter one be changed for a new crown?
What can I do, do I just need to live with this? Just feel like crying.
Thank you

I can understand why this situation is making you upset. I would highly recommend you speak with your dentist first. It may be that one of the crowns needs replacing or they may just need reshaping. This is really a discussion between yourself and your dentist

I hope this helps

Kindest regards

Thank you.
I understand what are saying. In general, should the patient be charged for something like this (ie if a crown needed to be replaced?). And am I in danger of losing one of my teeth? Just petrified at the thought of this.
Thanks again

It is unlikely you would lose your tooth, however as you can appreciate without a consultation and radiographs I really can't say. With regards to replacements, that is something individual to practices

I hope this helps

Thanks.. just wondering.. Is it possible to add bonding to the short crown? to try to make it look like the other? Or would this look silly?

I think if it comes to me paying to get it right it is something i will have to do. Is it possible to match a crown exactly to an existing one if one is replaced, as they will have been made at different times?
Just panicking here about this.

It is possible to match existing crowns and veneers, it's not an easy thing to do and from your recent experiences I know you can appreciate this!

It is not recommended to add bonding to existing crowns and veneers other than for emergency temporisation

I hope this helps
