effect of 35% carbamide peroxide on dentin
Hi, I posted a similar question here a while ago, and I wanted to just clarify something else. I'm considering doing teeth whitening with 35% carbamide peroxide gel. I've read that this would break down to about 12% or so hydrogen peroxide, and that this concentration would be safe on enamel. My question is that my teeth are chipped, so might this damage the dentin at all? I dont want to get fillings until after my teeth are the color I want.
You said last time that 3% hydrogen peroxide wouldnt do anything, and that 10% was the norm used, but would this concentration damage dentin at all if it was directly exposed to it?
Thanks.
