For a number of years I used bleach from the dentist in a mould to whiten my teeth. I only had to carry out the treatment a couple of times a year to maintain a good shade of white and didn't have any problems with sensitivity (or anything else for that matter). However, the last few times I've used the bleach I've ended up with terrible burns to my gums between my two front teeth, underside of my top lip and roof of my mouth. I'm also now getting sensitivity if I try to use the bleach for more than two nights in a row. I noticed the bleach is 10% and I'm sure it used to be just 5%.
Do you think the bleach is having a reaction to my toothpaste (I clean my teeth just before I insert the mould), or should I try to find a 5% bleach to use? It's got now so that I tend not to bleach my teeth anymore as the burns are very painful and I'm not sure if this will result in receeding gums. I would be grateful for any advice. Thanks
