I am 67 yars old. I have an overbite and one dentist said I needed 3 years of orthodonture before correction could be begun. A second dentist told me that he could change my bite with mouth guard 24 hours wearing and then construct porcelain crowns to fit the new bite. I am considering full mouth crowns and lumineers at this dentist's suggestion. Very expensive so I need advanced confirmation that this can be done. Thank you.

Hi
If you are uncertain about what treatment option to go for, then a third opinion from a clinician may be required. Unfortunately, i cannot comment , without clinical and radiographic examination in this particular case. Remember that orthodontics will allow a less invasive approach in comparison to full mouth crowns. Also remember that crowns do not last a life time and they will eventually require replacement. Regards Raha
