Default Injection worries

I've mentioned on another thread that I'll be having an implant before too long and I really really don't like the injection in the roof of the mouth. I've just read on someone else's post that it's possible to have a numbing gel first. Is that something anyone can ask for? I don't supposed there's anything to dull the pain of having the stiches removed is there?
Thanks.

Hi Laura,
of course you can ask for numbing gel. There's some more information on it here: http://www.dentalfearcentral.org/top...aesthetic.html

Removing stitches does not hurt at all.
