One of the downsides with the Inman aligner is speech problems. Some people can adapt and this normally takes 2 weeks or so. other people struggle throughout the entire treatment. Do remember that it won't be on for long!

Remember one big advantage with the Inman Aligner is that you can take it out.
If you need to speak clearly, remove it, just remember to put it back in.!

20 hours a day wear is ideal, but the treatment will work with even 16 hours a day usage.

Hiya,

I got my aligner four days ago and I still can't say more than a few words and be understood!

I knew it would be difficult but I'm finding it much harder than I thought. I'm an air hostess so I talk to people all day and even though I was planning to wear it to work but I think it's going to be impossible.

Will it still work if I wear it 16 hours per day four days a week and then around 22 hours three days a week? Also, is it not good to wear it for over 20 hours per day?

Sorry - one more question!

Ever since I had it fitted I am producing so much saliva and that's what's making it so hard to talk. My dentist said it would last 24 - 48 hours but it's still the same.

Is there any medication or natural remedy to stop this?

I dont see that being a problem, but I would stress that it is important to ask your dentist as he/she is carrying out the treatment .
