Default Inman Aligner

Hi there,
I was fitted with my Inman Aligner 4 days ago. I hve an overlap on my top two front teeth and one of the teeth is rotated slightly. Although my brace is tight, I can move the bar across the front of my teeth up and down with my finger. I was just wondering should the front bar rest closer to the top of the front teeth, in the middle, or closer to the lower part of the teeth - to ensure maximum efficiency. Any advice would be great, thanks.

hello.

As a rule the bar should be sitting closer to the edge of your teeth and away from the gum line.
If the bow is slipping, you dentist can place some small composite buttons to help them stay in position.

hope this helps

I'm confused now... I asked the same question of my dentist and he said closer to the gum line was better because the pressure would be applied nearer to the root.

Not saying who is right - I am not remotely qualified to say that - but it's slightly concerning as a layman to have two experts saying different things!

I'd agree with Dr Qureshi!

I hope this helps
