Break during Inman Aligner treatment?

Have anyone tried taking a break during their treatment with the inman aligner?
I mean if I leave my aligner out for 1 or 2 days, will it just lengthen my treatment with 1 or 2 days or will it have any other consequences?
(I have this social weekend with my new college class coming up, and I still find it very difficult to talk with the aligner in place)

I dont think that have a 1-2 day break in your treatment will lengthen the treatment time dramatically provided that you do not make a habit of this. You need to wear your aligner for about 20 hours per day for the treatment to be effective and move your teeth in the timescale predicted by your dentist.
