Default FAO Tif...tilting movements?

Hi Tif

With regards to the movements that the aligner can do, if a tooth is very slightly tilted mesially, can the aligner correct this? if so, does it take longer?

kind regards

Hi Karen.
Yes it certainly can, but often the tilting is due to a crowding problem and when the other teeth are aligned it is likely that the tilted tooth will straighten up. And of course Nimrod will upright the tooth on the model so it is processed into the Inman.

If there is no other crowding and the tooth is just tilted (not common in my experience,) the tooth can be uprighted but composite tags will be important to engage the bows onto the tooth.

If it is just a simple tilt with crowding on the other teeth..remember that after you use an Inman Aligner... 1- 3 essix aligners will easily push the tooth into the correct position of you are still having problems. It is always much faster if you have used the Inman first.

Hope this helps
