Default BACD Listing/Other?

I'm going to make an appointment at one of the top listed cosmetic dentists on this sites "Find a Dentist" page (i won’t mention which), but i've been checking and cannot find them listed on the BACD (https://www.bacd.com/public/find-cosmetic.html) or on the Inman Aligner (Inman Aligner) site despite them offering this.

Is there another site i should check? Should i avoid them given they're not listed?

They also offer CEREC MCXL and Invisalign, if there is other lists i can check for those?

Going by listings is quite a difficult thing to do. The best way to judge someone's ability is to see samples of their work. Many dentists (including myself) put a before and after gallery on our websites. Ultimately it will be your decision as to who you feel comfortable with

Does that mean the listings are incomplete or that being listed doesn’t mean much? I've seen your name on a couple of lists already and it's very reassuring even if it's no guarantee.

I've looked at lots of very impressive before and after pictures, but i wouldn’t expect anyone would put their bad work on display.

The lists are simply a guide. You are right that dentists won't show bad cases. What would concern me is if they couldn't show you a single case at all.

If you have seen impressive before and after photos then that is good. There are many ways to undertake treatment and if you go to 7 dentists its likely you will have 7 differing opinions.

I am very confident with the work I do due to the continued education I have undertaken. As I've mentioned before, its best to look for quality. I often undertake corrective cosmetics for people who have sought the cheapest option. Again, the cheapest option is not always the wrong answer either. Always look for quality when it comes to your teeth, the results will last you much longer and you will have fewer problems long term
