Default my daughter

my daughter has braces, and has for over a year,to fix gaps betwwen her teeth, they are nearly due to be removed but at a recent appointment we were told that she needs a small operation on the muscle above top two teeth. this can be done at cost, but then there is a very high chance that the gap will re-open after paying £1600 for braces and £60 for operation, didnt the orthodontist know this in the beginning who should i ask?

Dear Tina,

thank you for your query.

It is very difficult to give an answer as the question is very specific and I don't know the circumstances and the treatment plan.

I would recommend you go to your orthodontist as he/she will be the best person to answer your question.

Best of Luck

Raha
