Hi all I am new to the forum and need some advice please. My dentist does not advise implants because he says it is very longwinded and may not work, I have a bridge which he did for me 15 years ago and it has now started to loosen. I am thinking about implants but my dentist says have a denture. I have had a denture in the past as I broke my front teeth when I was a child and that was the only alternative at the time. Am I correct in thinking each implanted tooth will cost about £1500 if there is sufficient bone. How do you know who will do a good job? I am in a quandry and could do with some help please.

Hi!
there are different options when replacing missing teeth: -denture -bridge -implants Implants are a great way of replacing teeth and if done correctly and if well maintained will last for many years. When looking for a dentist who does implants, look at their postgraduate education in this field. Ask to see pictures of before and after cases at the consultation, ask how many cases they carried out so far and sometimes it is helpful to speak to patients who have had implants done by that dentist. This is the approach we carry out with our patients at our practice. Hope this helps Please feel free to message me for more information Kind Regards Raha
