Default Hydro floss/waterpik

Can anyone please tell me anything about the hydro floss or waterpik teeth cleaning systems. Would you recommend having it (which one is the best?) after having implants?

Hi

I tend to recommend the waterpix for many of my implant patients. I would ask your hygienist or dentist , what is the best regime in your circumstance.

Regards

Default Waterpik

Thanks for your reply, Dr Bohara. I had never heard of waterpiks or hydrofloss until a few days ago. Are they relatively new in every day teeth cleaning? Do they actually do a good job or is it a gimmicky thing as I know the hydrofloss is very expensive. I'm just checking to see if they actually do a better job than dental floss.

what you use depends on various factors i.e type of crown, bridge or denture attached to implants, etc.

Some of our patients use floss, superfloss or the waterpix. Each case is different.

I would strongly recommend you speak to your dentist or hygienist to indicate what form of oral hygiene regime you should follow. Unfortunately it is difficult to answer without looking at your mouth.

Kindest Regards

Raha
