pain after apicectomy

i had an apicectomy 7 days ago, all was fine discharged with co-codamol and ibuprofen. Some minor discomfort for first 3 days, swelling increased and has now gone down along with bruising. Am now in alot more pain along cheekbone/sinus area, with a bit of a snuffy nose.. Just wondering how long post op pain should last, am maxed out on painkillers daily.
