Please help!!!!

I have porcelain veneers on my teeth which were fitted about 5years ago and I was very happy with. I was in a car accident 2 weeks ago (not my fault!) and my face hit the steering wheel causing a broken nose, and breaking my two central front teeth/veneers, one of them virtually in half. The lateral ones are pretty much ok.
As Im sure u can imagine I am completely distraught about this. I have visited my regaualr dentist and needed to have root canals on both my front teeth. There are temporary fillings on them at the moment and I have been told I need to have the 2 front teeth crowned. I hate the thought of crowns on them and Im really worried about the outcome.
Just looking for some advice/reassurance really as to when i have this done. Can porcelain crowns be matched to existing veneers to match what i had before? and can they look natural as veneers? Also is there any particular type of crown which gives good aesthetics?

Crowns can absolutely look completely natural and match your existing veneers. Exact matching is based upon the skill of your dentist and their technician

I know it must be different for everyone, but is it possible to estimate how long crowns can last? And can they be replaced? Just terrified of losing my front peggys!

On average crowns last in the region of 15 years. There are always options of implants etc once the crowns have passed their lifespan

I see, is it possible to change the crowns to new crowns when they are past their lifespan or do you go to implants after say, the first 15 or so years?
Im sorry to be so ignorant on this topic, just want to get things clear in my mind.

It is often possible to have a new crown placed. Your dentist will weigh up the long term prognoses of both a new crown and implants, as well as a cost benefit and clinical benefit to help guide you
