white crown costs

Hi there,

My dentist has advised me to undergo root canal therapy on one of my molar tooths, after complaining about pain in that tooth.

I want to go for a white crown but am somewhat confused about the costs. One private dentist told me it would cost £600 for the root canal and £650 for the white crown. Another dentist said they could provide the white crown for £190, at NHS price. Should I trust the latter?

Each dentist will charge differently according to their skill level and the skill of the technician used to construct your crown. I would ask to see examples of the dentists work so you can make an informed decision regarding which level of work you wish to have done
