Hi there, I've just had my crown fitted to a lower back tooth today. Its only been a few hours but it feels slightly raised and i don't have the same complete 'biting' feel any more.
I told my dentist this and he said this is normal and to give it time to bear down and settle.
It feels a bit strange which i suppose is part of me getting used to it, but i am a little concerned it might be a bit too raised. Is my dentist right to say wait a day or two for it to settle? I really hope it does, or that i get used to the sensation of eating with it, it's almost like there's a millimetre gap between my top and bottom teeth now the crown is there.
What do you think would be the best thing to do?
Big thanks for any advice.
Martin
