    Question Expanders

    Dear Dr.,

    PLEASE help me with this.
I’m 24 years and My teeth have had moved a bit forward and my dentist suggested me expanders and bracers after that. So im wearing expanders now (upper jaw) and suppose to remove it next week. But my problem is, now my front teeth have come EVEN MORE FORWARD and looks bad than earlier.(and of course the jaw has been expanded as well and created gaps between teeth.). so my question is, other than creating gaps between teeth, does the expanders causes teeth to come forward like this ? wt can be done to this? it looks alot forward now.
    can this be corrected?

    Thank you.

as part of the expansion process you teeth may have moved forward but the fact that gaps have been created is good news as this now leaves room for you teeth to be pushed back with braces after the expansion process.

I would address this concern with your current dentist but by the sounds of it your treatment is probably going to plan its just it may look worse before it gets much better!
