Red face Extraction instead of braces?

Hi, I'm 21 and just cannot afford braces right now, but my bottom teeth are very overcrowded, with the two canines pushed out infront of the incisors and molars.

I was wondering if a dentist would take out the two canines, and allow the teeth to readjust themselves, without having a brace?

Thanks,

Trixie4.

Hi Trixie,

I don't think you would be able to find a reputable dentist who would be willing to do this. Additionally, it's difficult to predict how much spontaneous correction of crowding you would have with just extractions

I hope this helps
