worries over six month smile

Hi ive had my six month smile brace on for two weeks now there was pain the first few days but no pain now and no movement how soon are they supposed to move? and also the end metal brackets at each end are quite sharp at the side and cutting the side off my mouth is there any way these can be smoothed down thanks

My teeth moved very quickly when I 1st had my brace fitted, everybody is different your teeth may move more when your brace is next adjusted? If the wire is too long you could go back to your dentist and ask for it trimming down, you could also put a small piece of wax on the last bracket to stop it rubbing your mouth.

Hello i had six month smile a month ago and since having it done i have got angular chelisis an infection of the mouth can these be connected and can it damage the braces.also do fixed retainers hold your teeth in place after treatment. thanks
