17 year old Gap in tooth :(

hello there i am 17 years old and i currently live in dundee scotland within the (uk) i have a medium sized gap in my front teeth, i was just wondering if anyone could help me out and if i would be able to get a fix on the NHS, i have a dentist appointment on the 24th February, should i just ask the dentist what would be the best solution to my problem or would i be best to go to a orthodontist
