Veneers on NHS to change tooth colour

Hi all....i'm new to this forum and looking for some advice,

I hadn't been to the dentist for 3 years....shame i know!!... however i had a painful wisdom tooth and decided i better go, whilst there i was given antibotics and told that having not been to dentist in 3 years my teeth were really good and only needed a filling replaced and possible veneers on front 2 teeth to improve colour.

However i am an excempt nhs patient and now after looking at the previous posters i am worried that the veneers wont be able to be done with the excemption that i have. I am assuming my dentist knew this before suggesting them, surely now she wouldn't be able to say i can't have them done??

What other options to i have to improve colour if the dentist changes mind and says i can't have them unless i pay!!!!

I would recommend you share your concerns with your dentist to clarify things.

Stained, discoloured teeth can be improved with:
- micro-abrasion
- white fillings
- veneers
- crowns
- teeth whitening (done only privately)

Obviously it is difficult to say what is the best treatment for you without doing a full check-up.

Remember that private veneers and crowns are made of more hugh quality materials and are more natural looking that the NHS ones.
