Just a question which is probably a daft one!! But is something i've been concerned about while contemplating veneers for my teeth
Is it probable that you will be able to see the join between your gum and the veneer or are veneers placed so that it looks like the tooth is your own? Unfortunately I don't know anyone closely who has veneers to have a look in the flesh as it were! And do you care for the veneers as you would your own teeth (ie flossing, electric toothrush). Thanks again |

You should not be able to see any joins between the teeth and the veneers. They should completely disappear. There are certain techniques for hiding margins to ensure this is the case. The veneers can pick up some stain over time but it should be easily polishable. Your dentist will give you all the care instructions. Do remember this is a life long commitment and you may need to have the veneers replaced at some point in the future
Hope this helps

Hi
1 -good quality veneers provided by a highly skilled dentist should look very natural and the margin should not be visible. 2- you need to look after your veneers just as you would for your natural teeth as veneered teeth can still become decayed. I hope this helps Kind Regards Raha
