Hi

Your dentist will be able to make you awre of the possible complications with the procedure you are describing i.e root canal, post and crown.

There is a risk of fracture in the future because the dentist will be removing tooth substance, but this will be dictated by many other factors.

Many post crowns if done correctly can last for many years.
