Pav is correct that the extractions have to be done carefully so that the bony architecture can be disturbed as minimally as possible.

In some cases an implantologist may decide to place them immediately if the conditions are favourable. In other circumstaces , the sockets should be allowed to heal for 2 to 3 months to allow placement of the implants.
