Twenty 2 Dental

Firstly, it was SO nice to come to Twenty 2 Dental and walk in the door, and for the receptionist to know who you are, who you have come to see and why. That may seem a small thing, but some 'medical' establishments you attend, they look at you, look down their lists, can't find your name, shake their head and tell you to sit down and so on. That did not happen at Twenty 2 Dental, so 10110 for your receptionists!

What advice would I give if people are considering having treatment? I would say, Yes, it hurts your bank account, Yes, sometimes your teeth will hurt and you long for it to be over, BUT go for it every time.

I have absolutely no regrets about dipping into my savings to pay for my smile. I have forgotten the drilling and the injections - it all passes and at the end you do get the reward you so desperately want.

And as to the impact on my life? ....
For me of course it was slightly different because after the initial consultations Andy said my jaw would need realigning. I did not realize what impact that would have. With my initial new smile and my jaw realigned, the ache/pain I had suffered for so long (and thought was a continual ear infection) disappeared. It was wonderful. It had never crossed my mind it was my jaw giving me pain. The relief has been unbelievable, and my posture has changed as I can now hold my head up, turn around and so on.

And as to my smile - it does take time. I am getting used to it now. I can smile without thinking about it and that is something I have not been able to do for about 20 years now. I have already noticed that I am smiling a lot more - and smiling at people I do not even know!

…was it a good investment of time and money?... my answer is a resounding YES. I thought long and hard before embarking on the 'new smile route', I think you have to ask yourself how important it is to your life; whether you want to spend your hard earned savings on your appearance, and what benefit you will get from the results.

From my perspective it was important as my own teeth were becoming unsightly. I was fortunate enough to have the funding, and the benefits are already manifesting themselves as I am much happier, much more willing to smile at the slightest thing, and looking forward to eating steak when I am 95!!

Probably like a lot of other people, I did not realize the advances in dental treatment that are available today. So if you have patients coming along in the New Year and they are wondering if 2012 is the year to take the plunge and have something done about their teeth, please tell them not to think about the treatment, think about the end results - they are so worth it. I am so glad I plucked up courage (and yes, it does take a bit of courage) to come along.

A great big thanks to Andy and all the staff. No detail was too small for you Andy and you wouldn’t be able to tell that my crown and implants weren’t my own teeth.

To Andy and his kind and thoughtful staff. Thank you for all your patience and care you took and my implants are a great success. No more gaps and bit of wire, wonderful!

What can I say but an enormous thank you for what has been a life changing experience for me. For me you’ve achieved the feeling of ‘well being’ again – I can chew my food and what’s more I’m not embarrassed about to smile. Your expertise and professionalism is second to none – I have nothing but praise for your caring and well – trained staff. I feel so fortunate my dentist recommended you and will have no hesitation in recommending you. I’ll look forward to seeing you all again when I return for my check ups, heartfelt thanks

I am writing to let you all know how delighted I am with my two new implants and supported dentures. From the initial consultation with Andy last year right through to the completion of the dentistry I have felt well informed and supported and I am very grateful to Andy for all his skill and the backup of his excellent team.

‘Implants’ a message to would be implanters…Just ‘do it’, you will wonder why you haven’t done it before. I now have a full ‘mouth’ of teeth, after years of nibbling and gumming food. The whole process was handled from beginning to end with quiet and efficient assurance. At no time did I feel in anything other than in careful and capable hands. Please accept my sincerest thanks for the wonderful work you, and your team, have done over the last 7 months to correct the positioning of my teeth. The outcome was a "wow" moment in my life; if only I had been with your practice years ago I might have enjoyed that moment much earlier in life.

Throughout treatment you have been truthful, reassuring and patient with me, providing a balanced opinion on progress whilst enabling me to be fully involved in decision-making. As a patient I couldn't always see the progress you saw as the professional but your good humour and sensitivity kept me going and your tolerance when I broke the braces must be commended.

Bottom line:
Would I recommend similar treatment to other patients? - Without a doubt YES Was it worth the investment of time and money? - A resounding YES
