Dr Patrick R Rea About Sandown Dental & Implant Clinic
Sandown Dental & Implant Clinic boasts two of the most prominent cosmetic dentists in Northern Ireland. Dr Patrick Rea is a graduate of the Royal London Hospital Medical College and has a special interest in the fields of dental implantology and aesthetic dentistry. He trained at the Eastman Institute; where he obtained a Certificate in Dental Implantology before going on to obtain the highly specialised Masters Degree in Dental Implantology.
Patrick has over 20 years dentistry experience and has attended numerous international courses on aesthetic dentistry and dental implantology.
Dr Janice Brown is a graduate from Queen’s University, Belfast. She has a particular interest in endodontics and aesthetic dentistry. She gained her Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons, England and has a Certificate in Advanced Restorative Dentistry. Janice is an accredited Six Month Smiles® Provider.
The practice offers free initial appointments to discuss cosmetic dentistry treatments, including dental implants and Six Month Smiles. The initial appointment will involve a relaxed discussion where the dentist will be able to answer any questions. This will then be followed by a thorough dental examination and the best treatment plan and estimate will be devised for your consideration.
Dental Implants
In many situations, a dental implant is the most pleasingly aesthetic solution for replacing a missing tooth or number of teeth. Implants offer huge benefits that alternatives, such as dentures and bridges, cannot. They slow down bone loss and preserve nearby healthy tooth tissue, helping to prevent further tooth loss and there is no need to drill or remove any healthy tooth structures.
Six Month Smiles
Six Month Smiles is a cosmetic orthodontic solution that allows you to have straight teeth in about six months using clear braces and tooth-coloured wires to gently straighten and align the teeth. The treatment is for patients who don’t want the hassle of traditional orthodontic treatment – either because of the length of time or the appearance of metal braces. Six Month Smiles can close spaces between teeth, straighten crooked or rotated teeth and improve symmetry and crowding.
