Alberto Turri graduated in 1997 from Italy’s University of Padova. In 2004, having worked in the hospital service and in general dental practice in Italy, Alberto completed a three year postgraduate training programme at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Here he was awarded a certificate as a specialist in periodontics, recognised by the General Dental Council and the European Federation of Periodontology. Following on from this, Alberto was asked to stay on as a consultant, providing specialist care and helping with training on the postgraduate programme.

Alberto helped to develop the programme further over the next six years. He lectured around the world and has been involved in research projects related to implant-retained gum problems and destructive gum disease. He commenced a higher level of research in 2011, leading to a PhD in guided bone regeneration. He was appointed to the prestigious Branemark Implant Clinic the following year, where he worked as a consultant periodontal surgeon.

Widely published in the periodontics field, Alberto’s research is used regularly at international lectures and quoted in articles.

Alberto’s role at Queen Square Dental Clinic is to provide patients with specialist periodontal care.
