Sedation

If you are one of the UK’s many dental phobic patients and are anxious of all dental treatment, then Chelmer Village Dental can offer you sedation as an effective option.

This involves an injection of a sedative, most likely in your hand, which will leave you sleepy and calm. Your treatment can then be completed without the usual fear and worry most anxious patients suffer.

Although sedation is completely safe, more so than general anaesthetic, we like to monitor your blood pressure and heart beat as an added safety feature, to ensure that you are completely relaxed before you are treated.

General anaesthetic itself is highly safe, which highlights how safe sedation is.
