Would you be able to straigten my teeth without extractions?
Q. Would you be able to straigten my teeth without extractions? They are not terribly uneven-small overlap on one tooth at front and the one next to it ( about one quarter inch overlap) and a couple of small overlaps on lower jaw( about one quater inch in total) . I have two gaps each side on upper jaw where I had exractions years ago, but further back than the usual place for orthdontic extractions. I have no such space on the lower jaw but I am given to understand that there is a procedure called, “slenderising” where selected teeth can be filed down. I know the answer is probably, ” I Do not know until I have examined your teeth, but hypothetically speaking, is it possible? Many thanks
A. Hi
Yes it is possible but you’re right all cases are differnet so i wouldn’t know until I’ve seen you. Please feel free to contact the practice on 01245 268 494 if you would like to come in for a free smile consultation.
