Would me fang tooth that sticks out require tooth straightening or cosmetic dentistry?

Q.
Hi, I have a fang tooth on the upper left hand side of my jaw which sticks out and affects my smile. The rest of my teeth are nice and I would just like this tooth to be pushed down and put into alignment with the rest. However, I don’t think the gap is big enough for it to be pushed down which may be why it sticks out.

Would this require tooth straightening or cosmetic dentistry? Please can you advise the options open to me.Thank you.

Both options are open to you but the orthodontics may be the healthiest and produce the best result – the space often can be made using the orthodontic appliance to move the other teeth.

In cosmetic dentistry there could maybe be a recontouring option, or bonding or veneers.

In some cases the best result comes from a combination of two or more treatments as well as the orthodontics.

My advice would be to book a consultation with a very experienced cosmetic dentist who can also provide all your orthodontics options in-house.
