Would it be possible to place veneers over crowns as I really dislike them?

Can you put veneers over crowns? I really dislike my crowns which don’t go up to the gum Hence there is unsightly black lines above the crown. Do I have to replace the crown? I understand there is a danger of breaking the original tooth if they do this.

No veneers can’t be placed over crowns with predictable results. If the crowns are removed carefully then the tooth underneath shouldn’t be damaged.
