Would I be able to get veneers to make my previously shaved down canine tooth look normal?

Q. Dear Dr Tennet, when I was younger my dentist filed down my canine teeth (lord knows why but I was around 8 at the time and didn’t think to ask) and now I am left with what can only be described as flat canines. You have probably been asked this question a few times by various people but would it be possible to get veneers or similar in a fang esque shape? Not anything ridiculous or enormous but still something a little out of the ordinary. I would ask my regular dentist but I have a feeling he may judge me too prematurely! I live in the Brighton area, if this procedure is feasible would you know of any dentists that might carry out such a thing? Thank you very much. Kind Regards, ,
A. Your bite may have developed to accomodate the extra freedom. Best to try simple fillings to see how you tolerate the restriction it will cause. If all is well consider long term veneers. Rob
