Q. My teeth are in really bad bad shape and i just found out that you can get really sick and poss even die if the infection gets bad enough. My question is this what can i do to get myself to get them fixed cause i am so afraid of the pain i will feel. that is the reason i havent been to the denist cause im afraid of the pain. i know they give you numbing shots and when that happens i have a bad anixety attack i feel like its just hopeless. do you have any patients like that?? and what can i do ??? i dont even want to smile anymore,
A. You need to find a dentist who treats nervous patients go and meet them and the dental team, you must find a practice with people you trust ask if you can speak to other nervous patients taht they have treated. at my practice we treat so many nervous people and I often find that the people have so many bad experiences, once you find someone you trust you will be fine. Treatment can also be carried out under sedation if needed to help you.
