Will zirconia dental implants look the most natural?

Q.
I am having implants as I have lost teeth in both my upper and lower level and now my crowns & bridges on my upper level are all failing. I would like to have a natural look, if possible, not poker straight or Hollywood white but just natural. I was told that Zirconia would be better for that look than Porcelain – is that true. Is it possible to get a natural look with implants atall or will they always look somewhat false? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
Zirconia is a type of porcelain which can be stronger than other porcelains .
In my opinion there is nothing wrong with zirconia but e- max and many other types of porcelains are also strong. But be consistent throughout.

The truth is that with regards to how the teeth look there should not be a problem if there is a complete replacement of teeth with implants , however if you still intend to keep any natural teeth then the colour can only match those which inevitably will have some wear and discolouration.

I would also not dismiss porcelain bonded to metal as an option which should be stronger than other
Porcelains as fracture of porcelain on metal free bridges ie zirconia is still an issue .
The look of the restorations is really down to the skill of the technician and not necessarily the materials you mention.

Hope this helps
