Q. Hi I tend to grind my teeth during the night time. I have a mouth guard that I wear once or twice a week during the night (It is bulky and uncomfortable). My question is if I wear my removable retainer on my upper jaw as I have just recently removed my braces, (I have been told I must wear my essix retainer every night for a very long time) do I also have to wear my mouth guard every night to prevent the removable retainer from getting damaged or will the removable retainer do the job of preventing my teeth grinding.
