Will sedation make me totally unconcious?

Q. Hi, i have a fear of the dentist and i was looking for sedation, if i where to get sedation would i be totally unconscious

A. Sedation is when you are almost asleep but not completely knocked out.  It can be oral sedation or intravenous sedation, the later given a more profound sedation.  With sedation you feel very relaxed and sleepy and remember very little if anything about the dental procedure.
