Will root canal treatment lessen pain caused by teeth with no enamel?

Q. My 14 year daughter unfortunately had her four back teeth come through with no enamal on them, about 3 months ago we had to have a root canal treatment on one of them. She is now in pain again and the dentist has recommended that they try root canal treatment again, the tooth is crumbling away, and she is on anti biotics to try and clear the infection she also has a phobia with needles and dentists! Is another root canal treatment likely to work for her, or would it be best to extract the tooth? This is not an option that she wants as she does not want a gap in her teeth, but the pain she went through last time for it not to work, how many times will they try and do root canal before they say to extract it. Many thanks,
A. I would recommend that you find a specialist in child dentistry( paedodontist) – they will give you the best options and will be trained to cope with nervous children
