Will lumineers help my sensitive teeth

Q. I have got sensitive teeth. If i would get lumineers it would be a kind of protection? Because now I need to go at least every half year to the dental hygiene to get ride of the stains and after that the teeth are more sensitive. I think the stains are getting worse after each treatment. My problems are the stains which come shortly again after the treatment. What about lumineers? Is it possible to make lumineers also on the inner side of the teeth?

A. I don’ think lumineers are the answer to your problems.
Most people go to the hygienist every six months. If gum health is poor or if you accumulate a lot stain on your teeth you should go more ofetn, maybe every 3 to 4 months.
If you find that your teeth are staining more every time you have your teeth scaled you can let the hygieninst know and ask her to polish the lower teeth for slightly longer. You can also ask to have fluoride cream placed on your teeth after your polish.

In the mean time you can put fluoride toothpaste on your teeth before you go to bed.
If you are interested in veneers for any other reason then you should go and see a cosmetic and restorative dentist to find all all options for your teeth. It would be wise to consider options other than lumineers.
I hope this helps
