Will I have to pay to replace the veneers that I got from NHS

Q. I had veneers fitted to my front 6 top teeth when i was about 15 as i have small teeth and discolouration due to high flouride levels (i believe). This was done free on the NHS at the advice of my dentist. I am now nearly 29 and am starting to think about what happens when they need replacing. My main concern is: will i have to pay? I hear about people paying between £250 and £1,000 per veneer and start to panic! Help!

A. Hi I’m afriad you will need to pay for replacing the veneers, at our practice in Essex we charge £450 per veneer, this is about average.

Moatzie Says :

I have a dental bridge of 6 front teeth two filed on either side and two fake ones in the centre. Amazingly it is still going strong, with a few minor cracks, 26 years later. It cost £600 to have it privately done then. I know its time is running out and there is no way I can afford the £3,000 it will cost to replace. Can this be done on the NHS under band 3? If not I would need 4 teeth caped and a 2 toothed denture provided so the bridge would seem a better bet. Grateful for advice.
