will i get a temporary replacement the same time as teeth are extracted

Q. Hello, i am hoping you may be able to reassure me. i am due to have my 1st appointment in a long while as been on NHS waiting list for 3yrs. I anticipate i may have to have my top 2 central teeth extracted, as i have a gap each side of them. If they need to be extracted in order for a partial denture/bridge to be fitted, will i have a temporary replacement the same time as extraction, as i don’t want to be left with 4 gaps along my top row, especially as i have been told it can be up to 6months before a permanent denture/bridge is fitted due to the healing process. thankyou.

A. The honest answer is I don’t know. I always would give somebody a provisional restoration so that they don’t have to walk around without any teeth. It would depend on the dentist but I am sure your they will make sure that you are comfortable and have some provisional replacement teeth
Kind Regards
