Will braces work when my son has to have his root canal
Q. My son is to get braces in May…he broke his front tooth out and now has to have a root canal and the tooth built back(no crown until he is 19-20 says the dentist). My question is will braces work now? Also, my son has straight teeth on top and the bottom front is not straight-my son says he doesnt want braces because he doesnt see anything wrong with his teeth…should I invest in braces or leave him alone?
A. Without seeing him I cannot make a decsision on this. If he has had trauma to a front tooth then the brace needs to be carefully monitored in case a problem occurs with the root of the damaged tooth.
