Why Do I Require The Bridge To Be Attached To My Canine Teeth?

Q.
my 2 bottom front teeth are loose, i was told i need a bridge and those teeth have to come out , and the teeth next to them also because they are not strong enough to hold the bridge so the bridge will be attached to my canine teeth i was told this is the right thing to do. please help because this is costing alot of money i have no insurance. also i am have deep root planing to clean teeth before i go ahead with the extraction and the bridge

It sounds like you have advanced periodontitis and that your lower incisor teeth are unsavable. Bridging from canine to canine is certainly one of the options. You could also consider dental implants. A denture would also be possible but may not be ideal as it can exacerbate your periodontitis.

If the prognosis for the loose teeth is very poor then extraction may be the most practical option. Without seeing you in person it’s impossible to give you accurate advice. If you are concerned about the advice I would seek a second opinion from a periodontist (gum specialist) to see if there are any alternatives or the possibility the teeth could be saved

Kind regards
