Why am I experiencing a lot of sensitivity with whitening?

Q. I experience quite a lot of sensitivity when whitening my teeth and can only keep the trays in for about 2 hours at a time. Would it be less painful to get laser whitening treatment done as there is a place close to home offering this treatment lasting just one hour with apparently the same results?,
A. In my view the home bleaching is more comfortable as the bleach used in 1 hour treatments is about 10 X as strong.

If I were to ever have my teeth whitened or have veneers, would that reduce sensitivity?

  2. Janae says:

in most cases whitening increases sensitivity during treatment which returns to normal after treatment. In some cases veneers could reduce sensitivity
