What treatment is best suited for a young with mild overbite?
Q. My 14 year old son has a mild underbite. What treatments are available to correct it. I’m fairly sure that wearing braces would be something of an uphill struggle!
A. With underbites the first treatment of choice is orthodontics. However your son needs to be motivated to clean his brace properly to prevent gum disease and tooth decay whilst he is undergoing treatment. For a boy of 14 I would not recommend other forms of treatment.
