What subjects should I study to start a course in dentistry?

Q. I was just wandering what subjects i would need to start a course in dentistry i dont want to know the courses to take just the basic subjects i need and i also need to know the best dentistry universities in the UK thanks alot

A. Hi G

Firstly dentistry is a great job, its very diverse in its challenges, there really is something for everyone.
Basic sciences are good, especially Chemistry because they assume you have a good background in this, many students have Biology although this is less important because what you are taught on the course covers this in detail. I qualified from Newcastle, it is a highly rated research establishment, you could ring the admissions office of most dental schools they will have been assessed for research & the quality of teaching. It is important that you choose the right study environment for you. I love Newcastle because I loved the whole experience, Many graduates feel the same about their university.

Best Wishes

Rob
