What Should I Do If My Tooth Is Darker Than The Rest
Q.
I have a dark front tooth after root canal following a blow to the face. My dentist who does not specialise in cosmetics does not want to do internal bleaching as she said the original work was done so well she can’t see the filling. I don’t want an implant or crown as the tooth is in good condition and my dentist is nervous of a veneer as she doesn’t know if the darkness will show through. The original work was done 2 years ago and some days the tooth is darker then others (don’t know why this is) but I don’t believe it is going to get any darker are there any other option

A.
Internally bleaching is the most conservative option and is often done in combination with a veneer or crown to get the best aesthetic result.

My advice would be to go and see a cosmetic dentistry expert immediately who can show you lots of examples of similar cases they have done to a high standard of excellence.
If you want the result to be the best it can be then it makes sense to go to people with the most skill and experience
Hope that helps you make your decisions
