Q. I have seen a cosmetic dentist with a view to smile makeover. Treatment consists of old crown replacements and also a Bridge. For the Bridge I need to have a molar extracted. The teeth either side of it are old crowns. One of these teeth has infection in root and needs root canal treatment. I will be having diagnostic wax-up for the treatment. In your opinion in what order would you do the treatment. i.e. extraction first, root canal, wax-up etc. What proceedure would you follow. Thank you.
A. It really depends on many factors and without seeing your mouth i could not even start to advise you. Your dentist would have told you this when giving you your treatment plan and quote. If not, please seek his guidance.
