What is your opinion on flexible dentures?

Q. Last December my bridge failed, since then I have had an acrylic denture to replace my upper left 1 and upper right 1,2, & 3. I find the denture uncomfortable and it moves around too much. After a consultation at the Bristol Dental hospital a new upper partial cobalt chrome denture was recommended which would also include upper right 6 &7 which have been missing now for some years. After looking on the internet to find out about this type of denture I also read about flexible dentures which appear to offer many advantages although one website said they did not always fit well and were not adjustable. What is your opinion of the flexible denture and which would you recommend?,
A. It depends on the angle of the teeth , how close your bite is etc etc. If the dental hospital make it , I would expect that the cost is low or free. IF this is the case I would have treatment at the hospital in the first instance. If cost is not an issue consider investigating an implant retained bridge. Rob
